The following has been stated: -
•The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Amendment Act, 2024, as amended by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, has been adopted in Andhra Pradesh.
•The amended provisions shall apply and come into force in the State with immediate effect.
•The notification aims to align the State’s water pollution control framework with the amended central legislation.
